This cabinet was wheeled into our workshop this morning and caused much excitement. We will all make one of these as our coursework/major project for the first year, and today was the first day of the new project.
This is where we hope that all that cutting dodgy corner joins has paid off and we can make something that looks like the cabinet in the picture.
We’ve started selecting wood, and I will bore you with more photos as this project progresses.
In other news, the snow is gone, melted by continuous rain which looks likely to continue for a week. At least the cycle lanes are usable again.

Look like a challenge. Bore away with the details – I look forward to them.

Thanks for the thoughts… It is a challenge, especially as a few months ago we were just making smooth pieces of wood. In theory, we’ll mostly be using methids we’ve learned already but it’s quite a jump nonetheless…

I have to agree with Phil. Please go ahead and bore with the details – I’m looking forward to them, too.
