The example piece for the end of year project alongside a trolley full of pear wood for our own version. Soon after the cut wood became four piles like this:
Notice labels written in my now infamous mix of English and German. Working in my second language can be tricky but it does mean none of my materials get mixed up with anyone elses’s.

The wood looks beautiful, very tempting. Although I’d need a percentage more for my inevitable measuring mistakes. Your mixed German is a lot better than my pidgin Welsh!

Andy in Germany
@Perthcyclist. It’s more that trying to remember where all the bits of wood go is hard enough without trying to label in German too. If that wasn’t hard enough, my teachers (amd my boss) all speak a local dialect which is tough for people from different parts of Germany to understand.
@Teigl: It is lovely wood, and there is a large percentage (probably not enough) for mistakes in there. It’ll look a lot saller before it becomes a cabinet.
@Tony: I hadn’t thought of that. I’m still pretty coinvinced that its put together by magic, to be honest…
