Happy Christmas to everyone out there who frequents this little corner of blogdom. Many thanks for your time, thanks for patiently reading my ramblings and for your comments, emails, and encouragement. Have a great, refreshing Christmas and New Year.
Hat tip as well to Car Free Days for showing that you can haul a tree on the side of an Xtracycle. It was a good feeling to have the thing loaded up and be driving off while most drivers were still struggling to get their foliage into the boot of their car.

Didn’t everyone already do that with their tree ?
This year I bought our tree from a local bike shop.

We cut our tree from the back 20…LOL
Andy,
I have enjoyed your adventures with your Xtra and it has convinced me I need to look into getting one…eventually.
Merry Christmas and a Prosperous New Year!

I’m afraid I’ll have to play Mister Smug-Git here…
I brought our tree in from the garden.
Like I did with the same tree last year.
And the year before…
And the year before that…
And….
A Cool Yule to People Powered!

Nice Job! That’s the _only_ way to haul a tree!

Thanks for the comments: It’s nice to know I’m not rambling to myself. One day we’ll have a garden (more on this to come) but for now I’ll have to content myself with fun conversations with the people selling the tree and being waved off like a celebrity as people struggle to get their tree in their cars. It’s a tough life.
@Tim K. Dead right 🙂
@ Westfield wanderers: Thanks for the link. I like the blog…
@Aaron: The link to your blog seems to be broken- can you send me the address so I can fix it? Don’t wait too long to get a Xtra, you’ll only regret not getting one sooner.

@andy: Thanks for the kind words about my blog. Still trying to get the pitch right – I keep tending towards the negative aspects of cycling in UK, which is too easy given the conditions here. I want to talk it up.
My New Year’s resolution – an Xtracycle. My old Dawes hybrid is due a rebuild AND I’ve found a local FreeRadical supplier in Bristol: Really Useful Bikes. What a great name for a bike shop! Just goes to show – it’s not all bad in Bike-Phobic Britain!
